Grid Views

The Grid

In Apkudo's Recover Software, the grid is a table-like view of data. This feature allows you to filter and sort by important details—date, return status, lock or enrollment status, device metadata, and more.

This organizational pattern is repeated across the software and helps to visualize device records in useful ways. There are default views, but additional views can be created based on your unique program needs. Each view can be exported and shared with managers, stakeholders, vendors, or partners.

All grids include:

  • Filter button: Manipulate and narrow data based on criteria chosen for any grid.
  • Search: Find specific device records using a unique identifier.
  • Status: Keep track of key stages like tracking, processing, Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) enrollment, and lock statuses.

Status Definitions within Grids

Tracking Grid

  • Pre-Transit: Shipping status for a recovery request with a generated shipping label that has not yet been scanned by the shipping carrier.
  • In Transit To Center: Shipping label has been scanned by the shipping carrier and the package is traveling to its assigned destination (as configured at the program level).
  • Delivered To Center: Package has arrived at its assigned destination (processing center, company headquarters, break/fix location, etc.) and is marked as delivered by the shipping carrier.
  • In Transit To End User: Shipping label has been scanned by the shipping carrier, and the package is traveling from a processing facility to its assigned destination (end user).
  • Delivered To End User: Package (shipped from processing facility) has arrived at its assigned destination (end user) and is marked as delivered by the shipping carrier.
  • Inactive: Shipment tracking information has been generated, but cannot be validated by the shipping carrier. Typically, this status results from new tracking numbers prior to receiving an initial scan by the shipping carrier.
  • Failure: Shipping carrier has encountered an issue, like the inability to complete delivery. To see more details, click the + symbol next to the associated record. You'll find complete tracking information, including carrier actions and reasons for any failures.

Processing Grid

  • Device Pending: Shipping label has been scanned by the processing facility.
  • Device Processed: Device has been processed at the assigned facility, If possible, a Certificate of Data Destruction will be issued once processing is complete.
  • Device Locked: Device has been recovered, but is currently locked/enrolled and unable to proceed through processing until unlocked/released.
  • Device Purchased: As a portion of an employee purchase program, the associated device has been purchased and a receipt is attached to the record as additional validation.
  • Device Purchased and Processed: As a portion of an Employee Purchase program with physical data erasure, the associated device has completed both processing and purchase. A receipt and Certificate of Data Destruction are attached to the record as validation.
  • Device Flagged: A device has been purchased, but the purchase was disputed and may be refunded.
  • Device Flagged and Processed: Device has been purchased and completed physical data erasure, but the device purchase was disputed via Stripe and may be refunded.
  • Device Flagged and Locked: Device has been purchased but is currently locked and cannot complete physical data erasure, and the purchase was disputed and may be refunded.

Idle Grid

  • Return Requested: Initial return request was sent to a device end user via email to recover a device.
  • Awaiting Method: An end user has received a request to return a device, but has not selected a specific recovery option such as employee purchase, retail return, label, or return kit (options based on program configuration).
  • Failure: Shipping carrier has encountered an issue, like the inability to complete delivery. To see more details, click the + symbol next to the associated record. You'll find complete tracking information, including carrier actions and reasons for any failures.
